Weekly Feature | My Three Sons Images

If you don't follow Anita, from My Three Sons Images, please hurry up and go check out her work. A true artist - we are so lucky to have her at the Snappy Mama this week. She has picked the theme {light and shadows} and we are loving all of the images so far.

Let's get to know Anita better and soak in all of her gorgeous work!

If you could photograph one person (famous or just someone you really admire), who would it be and why?
"I would choose to photograph my mom. I realize now how few images I really have of her." I would love to have the opportunity to photograph her in some gorgeous light & I would want it to be a black and white series.  I'd like to remember every line and wrinkle in her face, her smile, her hands....it's easy to forget these things after someone has been gone awhile. I'd also make sure that I had image taken with her. A beautiful, emotive image that really showed our love for one another. That would be such a treasure and it's what makes photography so special. Photographs, printed images...are our memory keepers.

Tell us three things about you, unrelated to photography.
I have to have a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee every single morning.  (cream, no sugar..large) I go through the drive thru (in my pajamas!) On weekends, my husband gets it for me. This has been going on for 20+ years, no joke!
I love to read and have been known to buy books simply because I fell in love with the cover. Maybe that goes back to photography in some way. ;) I am addicted to pretty, hard cover books...I collect them. Most of them I do read, but will admit to having some that are there for their looks, lol I can't part with books either...ask my husband!!
I am the world's pickiest eater, or so it seems sometimes. I don't eat cheese (which almost everyone loves that!) and most dairy products except milk. I don't eat any seafood. (Yuk!) The list of vegetables I will eat is extremely short! However, if it's considered bad for you, it will be on my list of things I DO like...Carbs, carbs and more carbs and chocolate! <3

Where do you hail from?
My husband and I both grew up in West Virginia. We live in Cumming, Georgia now and have been here for almost 16 years. We moved here from Connecticut and I was sure I was going to hate the south, but it's just the opposite! I love it here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Everywhere has reasons to not like their climate, but I would take the heat over the frigid cold. I do miss snow, but only when I have "snow envy" from the beautiful snow images being posted to FB!

Describe your work in three words. Emotive, Light filled, dreamy

What is your best advice you would give yourself if you could go back to the beginning?
I would give myself permission to be authentic. Even if that meant that others may not like it. I was so afraid of putting something out       there that would be rejected, that I didn't follow my heart soon enough. Once I did, it may a huge difference in my photography.

Keep you {light and shadows} images coming in, Mamas! Have a great rest of the week!

XOXO, Allison and the Mamas
