Weekly Feature | One 33 Photography

Candid, real, true, talented - those are just a few words describe our wonderful judge AnnMarie from One 33 Photography. We are so lucky to have her joining us at The Snappy Mama this week and she has picked an adorably fun theme {sibling shenanigans.} Make sure you head on over to her page and give her some extra love!

Let's get to know AnnMarie even better...

Tell us three things about you, unrelated to photography.
I'm a Canadian, I'm adopted and I love to cook :)

Give us a photography related goal you hope to accomplish?
I am currently working on a portfolio in hopes of one day (soon) applying to the In Beauty and Chaos Pro program as well as the Clickin Mom's Pro program.  I really am only doing this for me. I want to take on this challenge and learn all there is involved in getting a pro status with these two organizations which I highly respect.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and what is something you'd like to  photograph from there?
I would love to live somewhere where it is warm all year long. Especially somewhere on a beach. Florida, or if I'm really ambitious, Hawaii. In all honesty my sunset beach pictures are terrible so I would love to live somewhere where I could practice shooting my kids on the beach during golden hour all the time.

What is your favorite piece of gear you own, or what are you lusting after?
My favourite piece of gear I own is My Canon 6 D.  I thought my sigma 35mm art lens was going to be my pride and joy, and though I do love it, it's finiky and kind of a diva, but my 6D is a standby which never disappoints.

What is your best advice you would give yourself if you could go back to the beginning?
I love this question! I would tell myself so much but to keep readers engaged I will keep this short.  I would tell myself to stop buying new gear and take classes and enroll in mentor ships whenever I started to feel in a funk. It's amazing what a good class/workshop can do for you if you feel like your just so blah! As soon as I start to get involved in a workshop/class, my creative juices start flowing and I find some of my best work comes out of those moments. Gear is gear, it's not so useful if you don't understand what makes it tick! I get so much more value out of these workshops than buying the latest and greatest gear. Take my diva Sigma for example. Also on that note, I would also tell my past self to not buy the 85 mm lens when I had a crop sensor camera! That lens was basically useless for my type of indoor lifestyle work! ooops!

Keep all of your cutie potootie {sibling shenanigan} shots coming in! AnnMarie will be busy this week for sure! So many wonderful submissions already!

Have a great week, Mama's!

XOXO, Allison and The Mama's
